Welcome to Corfu Angel Cats!
INTRODUCTION
February 2020 I arrived on Corfu island. It was a horror to see all the hungry, skinny and sick cats hanging around the garbage bins. The same cats that had been charming the visitors in summertime for the benefit of some food and cuddling.
Now the tourists had gone home. Hotels, restaurants and cafeterias were closed. In the abandoned areas, only the poor cats were left. Old cats, mature cats and kittens with wounds, blinded eyes, parasites, malnutrition, injuries and severe infections. Helplessly struggling for their lives. My heart was bleeding for these poor little souls.
​I was even more devastated when I realized that this was a huge problem, not only in Corfu, but in all of Greece. ​
With this knowledge I could not close my eyes and and do nothing. Together with Solly, I made a decision that changed our lives completely. We sold our house and business abroad, found a suitable place on the island and established Corfu Angel Cats Rescue & Care. TNR.

OUR ACTIVITIES
Every day in our Sanctuary we care for about 100 stray cats that we have rescued from the bins. They get food, medical treatment, a safe place to stay and a wonderful plot of land to explore. We also collect several cats from the various colonies for neutering, anti parasite treatment and return. In wintertime we deliver food to volunteers in 23 villages on the island every month, for daily distribution to the cat colonies.

SUPPORT US
Our organization is a non profit, and we get no help from the authorities. The veterinary expenses and costs for the food are huge every month, so we rely solely on donations to keep up the work. If you want to support the Corfu Angel Cats, please make a donation.
